Who is this quirky voice?

Gather 'round, folks! Let me spin you a yarn about how I went from a curious kid stumbling into the world of voice over to a full-blown voice alchemist! I was born with a rare condition called Tracheoesophageal Fistula (Bit of a mouthful). It’s also called TOF, for short. There are different types of TOF, but the one I had was where my food pipe lead into my wind pipe. I required emergency surgery when I was born to fix this. It also caused my throat to close up a lot, meaning I had to regularly have an esophageal dilation- a procedure used to widen a narrowed section of the esophagus. Due to having many of these procedures done as a child, it has lead to me having a unique, husky voice.

Initially, I wanted to be an Actor, but I listened to the mindset of a lot of people saying how difficult it is and how it would never happen. So I went to university to study Architecture, but had always kept my toes in the performing world, being in drama societies. Architecture didn’t really work out, so I decided to follow my first love, performing.

I have trained in classes since the start of my Acting career and I still continue to train now! When the COVID-19 lockdown hit, just like everyone else, I decided now is the time to train in Voiceover. Having trained with Gravy For The Brain, I learned techniques, editing and how to bring the best performance in voiceover!

Now, let's keep it real! No corporate mumbo jumbo here; just me, and my own voice! There’s a sea of sameness out there, but my unique tales are what sets me apart like a funky unicorn at a horse race! If you find yourself reading this and not feeling a chuckle bubbling up, then perhaps I’ve still got a sprinkle of work to jazz things up!
